It's time to reinvent finance.
Bicycle is the kind of financial firm we’ve always wanted, both professionally and as customers. As former executives, marketers, and technologists, we’ve managed large businesses, built industry-leading websites, launched financial products, and bought ads on the Superbowl. We know how the financial industry works, and some of us have the grey hair to prove it.
As a group, we cover many life stages: single, divorced, remarried, single parent, new parent, married with young kids, married with teens, etc. Anyone who doesn’t think each phase comes with its own financial challenges hasn’t been paying attention – or has gotten pretty darn lucky. We’ve dealt with our own money issues over the years, struggling with student loans, living paycheck-to-paycheck, and having a little too much fun with credit cards. We’ve been confused, overwhelmed, and made the same mistakes you have.
And the journey continues. In the time it’s taken us to build Bicycle, several of us had babies, others sent kids off to college, and some are caring for aging parents. Did we plan perfectly for these events? No. We know you don’t either.
Some of our advice may be different from what you're used to hearing. We won't pin some pie-in-the-sky retirement number on your shirt – how are you supposed to know what your life will be like in 30 years? If you’re saving, you’re taking the right steps. And if you have debt, chances are you can save a little while you bring down those balances. How did we develop our advice? By sticking to the basics, talking to people, and learning from our own experiences.
We hope Bicycle Financial makes your financial life a little easier. If so, we're on the right path.
